The Big Outdoor Charters also offers fully guided duck hunts in the rich marshes of Southeast Lousisiana. We have approximately 3,000 acres of privately leased land in prime duck hunting habitat in Delacroix, Louisiana. The common ducks that we shoot are blue and green winged Teal, Gadwall, mottled ducks, wigeon, redheads, pintail, shovelers, and the occasional mallards. All hunts will take place in fully equipped Gator Trax mud boats powered by Mud buddy hyper-drive mud motors. Our mud boat all have fixed or pop up blinds that are naturally brushed to help conceal you and your guest while hunting. You will be guided by one of our professional guides while on your hunt. Your guide will take care of setting out decoys, calling birds, and getting you to and from our hunting locations.

The day prior to your hunt Capt Britt will call and make arrangements for your hunt the next day. You will most likely drive to a boat launch to meet your captain for your hunt. The boat launches can vary from a 2 minute drive or 1 hour drive. (Please make sure you arrive on time ready to load yourself and gear into our mud boats. Make sure you pack your gear the night before, not that morning at the launch, time is critical! Once the mud boat is loaded with crew and gear we will depart in the dark to our hunting grounds. Once we arrive at the hunting spot we will put out decoys for your hunt and brush the mud boat for the hunt. You can expect to hunt from day break to 9 or 10 AM, we try not to put a timeline on the hunt but it all depends on bird movement.
